ACUPUNCTURE BY POOK:
Most people prefer to call me by my nickname "Pook". I was born and raised in Thailand. I graduated with the degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery from Khon Kean University, Thailand in 2002. I came to the United States in 2003. After sevens years in the family business, I wanted to do something that I had passion for, which is to work in the medical field. My journey started when my father-in-law had a problem with his knees and needed to get surgery. Due to the risk of serious surgery side-effects, he decided to get acupuncture treatment instead to cure his knee problems. The result of acupuncture treatment has changed his life. After I heard his story, the curious click happened inside me. That was the moment when the acupuncture seed was planted in my consciousness.
My husband and I decided to move to California in 2010 so I could pursue my Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine career. I received my Masters of Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine from South Baylo University in 2013. Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine has amazed me while attending school. I was so certain that I picked the right career path for myself after receiving the acupuncture treatment from Dr. Hur (a supervisor in my school). From that moment on, I have realized that I have finally found my calling in life which is to help people with my acupuncture knowledge and skill.
